Flagler County has been a rapidly growing location in population, having increased their populations from 14,287 and 32,732 respectively, from the 1990 census to the 2000 census. As of the 2010 census, the population grew to 95,696.
Palm Coast was founded almost 30 years ago by a powerful company called ITT (International Telephone and Telegraph) that bought land in Flagler County for development and spent around two billion dollars on this project. As a result, this area has been number one fastest-growing in the nation from 2000 to 2009.
